Natascha Nunes da Cunha is lead mining specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she coordinates multidisciplinary efforts to provide technical and financial assistance to support better natural resource governance in Latin America and the Caribbean. With almost 20 years of professional experience, she has specialized in issues management, stakeholder engagement, and sociopolitical risk analysis, focusing on the relation between mining and sustainable development. Prior to joining the IDB in 2016, Nunes da Cunha was corporate affairs manager at Vale, one of the world’s top mining companies. She holds an undergraduate degree in international relations and a master’s degree in international -political economy, both from the London School of Economics.
