The Inter-American Dialogue's membership includes more than more than 100 outstanding public and private leaders from the United States, Canada, and 21 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. 18 Dialogue members served as presidents of their countries, over three dozen have served at the cabinet level, 17 have held seats in national legislatures, 27 percent are in the business or finance sectors, and seven are associated with the media. Convened in plenary format every two years at the Dialogue's Sol M. Linowitz Forum, members actively participate in the Dialogue's work, informing our vigorous debate on the most pressing issues facing the region, conferring credibility on our policy outputs, and ensuring that they reflect a wide range of opinions across the ideological spectrum.
