Jerry Zhang

Jerry Zhang joined the Inter-American Dialogue as an intern in the Asia & Latin America Program in June of 2024. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in global studies and a minor in statistics at Washington University (WashU) in St. Louis (Wustl), where he expects to graduate in 2026. At WashU, he serves as the co-president of Wustl US-China Forum. 

Zhang’s area of interests includes foreign policy, economic and trade policy, and political reforms, with a particular focus in Asia. As a Mongolian Chinese, he has conducted research on ethnic minority education policy in Yunnan and Tibet. Zhang is fluent in Chinese and English.
