Jamie Dorner leads Commodity Insights’ coverage of the US biofuels market. She analyzes the impacts of both policy and technology on renewable fuels such as ethanol, renewable diesel, biodiesel, and sustainable aviation fuel across the country. Dorner previously was at ESAI Energy, where she was responsible for oil, gas, and biofuels coverage in Latin America as well as fuel oil and other petroleum derivates on a global level. She has a Master’s degree in Latin American studies and energy, resources, and environment from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Dorner speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
As the energy transition gathers pace and Latin American countries raise their emissions reduction targets, private companies are revising their business models to meet demand for renewable energy and other solutions. The United States has also reemerged as a partner on climate action in the region.
