Gina Kawas joined the Inter-American Dialogue in 2022 as Senior Program Associate for the Migration, Remittances, and Development Program. Before joining the Dialogue, Kawas was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). Prior to HKS, she worked with multilateral development banks, the private sector, and civil society organizations across Central America. She also led several projects in the Foundation for Education in Honduras, a non-profit committed to providing education to children in high-need areas of rural Honduras. Kawas holds a master’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard.
