Democracy, Transparency, and the Internet in the Americas
With an official theme of “Democratic Governance Against Corruption,” the Eighth Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru represents a critical opportunity to advance the hemispheric conversation on transparency and accountability in pursuit of creative solutions to fight corruption and strengthen democracies.
The Inter-American Dialogue is pleased to partner with Democracia Digital, Democracia & Desarrollo Internacional, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Google, REDLAD, and Internet Society’s Peru Chapter for a high-level forum alongside the VIII Summit of the Americas on the importance of the internet and information technologies in strengthening democracies.
