Member in the News: Joyce Chang
Joyce Chang, chair of Global Research at J.P. Morgan, was named as one of Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in US Finance.
Two Dialogue members, Laura Chinchilla and Sylvia Escovar, were named "Women of the Decade" at the 2020 Women Economic Forum (WEF) for Latin America. The WEF focuses on the role of women in the global economy, and this year's virtual conference took place on November 6 and 7, 2020.
Laura Chinchilla was the first female president of the Republic of Costa Rica (2010-2014). She also served as vice president, minister of Justice, and minister of Public Security, and she was president of the National Immigration Board and president of the National Drug Council.
Sylvia Escovar is the president of Organización Terpel. Previously, she worked in the public sector, holding various positions including financial vice president of Grupo Bancolombia, economist for World Bank, and head of the External Credit Division in the National Planning Department.

Valeria Luiselli, Mexican award-winning author and professor at Bard College, won the prestigious Rathbones Folio Prize for literature for her book, Lost Children Archive. The awards ceremony was streamed online through BBC on Monday, March 23.
On April 9, members of the “Group of Women Leaders, Voices for Change and Inclusion” called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to address the Covid-19 crisis in an electronically signed letter. Amongst the notable signatories are Dialogue members Christiana Figueres, Rebeca Grynspan, and Susana Malcorra.
