    En una entrevista con CNN Oppenheimer Presenta, Rebecca Bill Chavez, Presidenta y CEO del Diálogo Interamericano, analizó las implicaciones geopolíticas del conflicto territorial entre Venezuela y Guyana, y la posibilidad de que esta disputa escale.

    “Creo que el descubrimiento de petróleo, definitivamente está impulsando esto. Me recuerda mucho al año 1982 con el gobierno militar en Argentina de ese momento. Veo que podría ser el momento Galtieri de Maduro. Es una forma de distraer al país y de unirlo en torno a un tema que aumentará el sentimiento nacionalista. Esto desviará la atención del hecho de que no solo es culpable de graves violaciones de derechos humanos pero también de que la economía se encuentre en un estado tan lamentable que 7 millones de ciudadanos hayan huido de Venezuela.”
