Florencia López Boo is the director of New York University’s Global TIES for Children research center. López Boo is also a professor of economics and applied psychology in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU Steinhardt. 

López Boo is the former lead economist of the Social Protection and Health Unit of the Inter-American Development Bank. She oversaw the Early Childhood Development (ECD) agenda, the IDB ECD Innovation Fund, the knowledge agenda of her unit, and an initiative on behavioral economics and social policies. López Boo advises Latin American governments on designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating public policies related to child development, social protection, and health.

She has published over a hundred articles in specialized journals such as The Lancet, Pediatrics, and the Journal of Development Economics. López Boo studied economics at the University of Buenos Aires and holds a PhD in economics from the University of Oxford.

López Boo was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
