Andrea Grobocopatel is an Argentine businesswoman and civil society leader who has been at the forefront of responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship for over two decades. Her journey began as the co-founder of an agribusiness conglomerate that grew from a small SME into a South American role model enterprise.
Grobocopatel is the president and founder of Fundación FLOR, a non-profit organization that promotes the training and transformation of responsible leaders to build sustainable, diverse, inclusive, and equitable organizations. Key areas of focus include leadership, responsible organizations, diversity, disability inclusion, and gender equality. Fundación FLOR has transformed the trajectory of more than 150,000 leaders across the Global South. Under her leadership, FLOR has trained more than 1,500 women to serve on boards as directors and 800 entrepreneurs to evolve into successful businesswomen.
Grobocopatel’s career as a gender equality advocate led her to represent Argentina as the W20 Delegate. Internationally, she has participated in the WEF (World Economic Forum) and the CSW (Commission on the Status of Women).
Recognized internationally, Grobocopatel was named Innovative Leader of the Year by the Women in Agribusiness Summit in 2014 and listed among Apolitical’s top 100 most influential people in gender policy in 2018. In 2019, she was featured by IFC (International Finance Corporation) as one of 20 extraordinary female business leaders from emerging and frontier markets worldwide. Her dedication to fostering responsible leadership and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality has solidified her status as a transformative figure in the business world and beyond.
Grobocopatel holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires. She is the mother of four, grandmother of one, and married to Walter Torchio.
Grobocopatel will be awarded the Distinguished Leadership for the Americas Award for Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion at the IX Leadership for the Americas Awards Gala in 2024.
