2022 has been a year of turmoil and transformation for Latin America’s energy sector. Amidst a geopolitical energy crisis, regional political turnover, mounting climate impacts, and governance challenges, new energy investments face acute volatility and uncertainty. Despite this turbulence, the transition to renewable energy is progressing at an ever-quickening pace. In tandem with government decarbonization plans, private sector actors are announcing net-zero strategies that will advance the energy transition and create a range of investment opportunities, and technological advancements are contributing to cleaner and more secure energy systems.
In this context, the Sixth Annual Latin America Energy Conference will convene energy company executives, US and Latin American government officials, and international and nongovernmental organizations to discuss the most pressing energy policy issues in the hemisphere.
We invite participants to submit questions through the Q&A function in Zoom or by emailing meetings@thedialogue.org.
