      Teach Like A Champion

This post is also available in: Español

Teach Like a Champion, a ground-breaking book by Doug Lemov that identifies and describes 49 specific techniques used by great teachers, has just been published in Spanish & Portuguese. The book takes note of the fact that many factors commonly believed to improve teacher performance–a graduate degree, superior intelligence, professional certification, an extroverted personality, and enthusiasm–have almost no demonstrable relationship with success.

This book, based on thousands of hours of observing teachers who have helped their students dramatically raise scores on standardized tests, identifies and describes the teaching techniques that separate average teachers from great teachers. It argues that great teaching can be taught, and it fundamentally challenges traditional approaches to teacher training.

The Spanish and Portuguese versions of the book are also available for purchase.
