REGIONAL Agenda for Early Childhood Development: Inclusion and Equity

  • Emphasize the urgency of decisive action to guarantee the comprehensive development and rights of all girls and boys, without distinction.
  • Adopt a differential approach in legislation, public policies, and benefits that addresses inequalities, vulnerabilities, and diversity.
  • Guarantee equitable access to comprehensive protection for children on the move, removing legal and administrative barriers, and ensure accessible, inclusive, and culturally appropriate services for migrant children.
  • Promote the participatory construction of policies and programs with Indigenous peoples, Afro-descendants, and other ethnic groups, respecting autonomy and free self-determination.
  • Highlight and address structural inequalities, racism, and discrimination by promoting anti-racist policies.
  • Ensure comprehensive care for children with disabilities, focusing on their potential and rights.
  • Promote intersectoral coordination for early detection, prevention of stigmatization, and implementation of comprehensive care pathways.
