Yoshiyuki Yamada is ambassador and deputy director-general of the the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau and Economic Affairs Bureau (G7/G20 Sous Sherpa) for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He has additionally served as the director of the Russia Division in the Ministry’s European Affairs Bureau, the National Security Policy Division in the Foreign Policy Bureau, and the First Southeast Asia Division of the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department.
