Walter Corzo is a Guatemalan democracy, human rights, citizen security, and violence prevention activist. Corzo has been in public life for almost a decade, working for NGOs that specialize in violence prevention, citizen safety, and promoting democratic values in Guatemala. He is the executive director of Diálogos, a space for analysis, training, and innovation that promotes evidence-based solutions to social problems at the regional level.
Before Diálogos, Corzo was a senior project consultant for citizen security at Jóvenes Contra La Violencia. From 2014 to 2016, he was a consultant for the Central America Youth Democratic Network. Prior positions include technical director at Colegio Valle Alto and general coordinator for Inteligencia Católica.
Corzo holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Universidad Rafael Landívar as well as a master’s in public management and leadership.
