Victoria Gama

Victoria Gama is a senior analyst for the Americas team of Verisk Maplecroft. She primarily works on in-depth country analysis regarding the social risks and social impacts of new or existing investments in Latin America. She also contributes to developing client-tailored labor standards and human rights reports as well as stakeholder mapping for the energy, metals and mining, consumer and retail, and ICT sectors.

Gama has over eight years’ experience working on human rights issues in a variety of institutional settings, including academia, civil society, government, international organizations, and the private sector, where she developed a wide range of skills encompassing quantitative and qualitative research, the design and implementation of legislation and public policies, advocacy campaigns, the provision of legal and political advice, and litigation.

Gama has a masters in law degree from American University Washington College of Law, with concentrations in human rights and international organizations. She graduated with honors from the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, where she is currently an assistant professor of human rights and teaches a course on business and human rights. She is a board member at the Open Supply Hub.
