Victor Sierra has built a distinguished career on Wall Street spanning three decades. He currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer of Torino Financial, a New York-based multi-product financial institution.
Previously, he was chairman and chief executive officer of Torino Capital, a U.S. investment bank specializing in global emerging markets. Under his leadership, Torino became a recognized leader in local intelligence, economic analysis, and financial reporting, with an extensive presence throughout Latin America.
Before founding Torino Capital, Sierra was director of the Global Solutions Group at Dresdner Kleinwort (Commerzbank Germany) in New York. He also held senior positions at ABN AMRO Bank (RBS) in New York, where he served as director of Latin American Distribution. At the time, ABN was the largest international bank operating in the United States, with controlling stakes in The Chicago Corporation and LaSalle National Bank, among others. It was also the leading international bank in Latin America, with holdings that included full ownership of Banco Real, then Brazil’s second-largest bank. Sierra spent 10 years at ABN AMRO, gaining extensive expertise in the region.
Drawing on this experience, Sierra has acted as an independent advisor to numerous governments, multinational organizations, and private sector companies worldwide. He currently serves on the board of the Advance Leadership Foundation, dedicated to preparing future global leaders; on the board of directors of Global Americans, a prominent Washington, D.C.-based think tank; and as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has also served as an advisor to Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden during their respective campaigns.
In addition to his professional work, Sierra is engaged in philanthropy, organizing fundraising initiatives and supporting humanitarian causes.
Sierra earned his degree from Boston University. He resides with his wife and children in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic.
