Toshiyuki Yasui is Executive Director for Croatia, Japan, Korea, Portugal, Slovenia and the United Kingdom at the Inter-American Development Bank. He previously served the Japanese government for over three decades in various senior management positions in the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Services Agency of Japan, and other institutions. He worked abroad several times—at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi, and as Senior Fellow at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Institute in Washington, DC.
He holds a Ph.D. in Arts and Science from International Christian University, Tokyo. He has been teaching at Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University as Guest Professor since its establishment in 2008.
