Tania Reneaum Panszi has served as the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights since June 1, 2021.
With more than twenty-three years of professional experience in the field of human rights, Reneaum Panszi has worked across academia, civil society, government, and international organizations. She possesses extensive expertise in the instruments of the Inter-American System and previously served as the executive director of Amnesty International in Mexico. In the areas of talent and financial resource management, she has successfully led numerous teams and implemented effective fundraising strategies.
Reneaum Panszi holds a Ph.D. in law from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. She also earned an international master’s degree in criminal law and comparative social problems from the University of Barcelona and an official master’s degree in legal sciences from Pompeu Fabra University. Additionally, she holds a degree in legal sciences from José Simeón Cañas Central American University in El Salvador.
