Tejero Punes is an investigator in the #Petrofraude investigation. She specializes in financial and economic issues, and currently forms part of the reporting team of the Diario Libre in the Dominican Republic. She has worked on investigations focused on corruption, money laundering and Chinese influence in Venezuela. She has worked for El Universal, in Caracas, Venezuela and was a Caracas correspondent for El Comercio of Ecuador and the Spanish Europa Press news agency. She was recognized by the Citi Journalistic Excellence Award in 2015 and received honorable mention in the National Journalism Prize Ipys Venezuela in 2016.
