Skip Hulett currently serves as Chief Legal Officer for Texas based NatureSweet®, a leading U.S. controlled environment agriculture (CEA) company and the leading snacking tomato producer and brand in North America best known by consumers for the Cherub® and Glory® lines.
Over the years Skip has repeatedly distinguished himself as chief legal counsel of fast-growing entrepreneurial companies, state district court judge, and founder of a successful law firm. After graduating from law school, Skip quickly developed a respected reputation in the community. As a young lawyer, Skip was appointed by the Governor of Texas to complete a term as a State District Court Judge. After his term expired, he joined a high-growth telecommunications services company as its General Counsel, which quickly grew annual revenues from $15 million to over $1 billion and expanded across the nation.
Since joining NatureSweet in May 2018, Skip has led many of the company’s key initiatives including its B-Corp Certification becoming the largest CEA company in the world to be B Corp certified. He is active in the produce industry, including the U.S. Policy Committee for the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), the board of directors for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) Alliance as well as the Border Trade Alliance (BTA) and is a founding board member of the Organic Produce Association (OPA). Skip attended Lamar University and the Texas Tech University School of Law. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas as well as the Association of Corporate Counsel.
