Sissi De la Peña is the general director of the DoT Network and director of the Mexico Chapter GASA.
Over the past nine years, De la Peña has focused on developing regulatory frameworks in the digital sector and on public policy for the Internet. From 2015 to 2018, she coordinated the International Agenda for Mexico’s National Digital Strategy, where she was part of the negotiating team for Chapter 19 on Digital Trade in the USMCA agreement.
De la Peña also led the Mexico–Central America chapter for the Latin American Internet Association (ALAI), representing and serving as spokesperson for the digital industry on regulatory and advocacy matters to promote the benefits of digital transformation.
She is a member of the coordinating team of the National Artificial Intelligence Alliance and an ally of the Mexico CyberSafe Alliance. She is a civil engineer from Universidad La Salle and holds a master of science degree from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
De la Peña was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
