Colombia | Intern, Energy, Climate Change, and Extractive Industries Program

Simón Ladino Cano joined the Dialogue as a Summer 2022 Intern for the Energy, Climate Change & Extractive Industries Program. Until the end of 2021, he was an Erasmus Mundus scholarship holder for the Master LAGLOBE program studying Latin American Studies with a focus on International Cooperation and Development from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle (France), Stockholm University (Sweden) and Universidad de Salamanca (Spain). Prior to that, he graduated with honors from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where he obtained a B.A. in Sociology before working at the Colombian Congress on peace-building issues. He recently interned for the Sustainable Development and Climate Change program at the EU-LAC International Foundation in Hamburg (Germany) and is currently pursuing a fellowship on sustainable energy with the global youth organization Student Energy. His area of interest is the comparative study of renewable energy policies across Latin America from an energy justice perspective.
