Shaily Acharya joined the Inter-American Dialogue in 2022 as an intern for the Migration, Development, and Remittances program. Acharya is currently a junior at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Economics with minors in International Development and Mathematics. She has previously researched with the Institute for the Study of International Migration and the Global Governance Forum, focusing on topics surrounding international trade and migration. Her research interests include labor and migration, particularly as it relates to the impact of remittances on socioeconomic outcomes in low-income countries. She is fluent in English and Nepali and has professional proficiency in Spanish.
