Kattan is the former chairman of the board of directors for one of the 10 largest companies in Latin America, Ecopetrol. Currently, he is responsible for the digital transformation and cybersecurity of Colombia.
Kattan led the US expansion of Colombia’s flagship brand, Juan Valdez Café. He spearheaded the transformation of Bogotá’s telephone company from a landline company into a triple play company (mobile, television, and Internet). Finally, he is a pioneer in Latin America in the deployment of fiber optics, and recently orchestrated the acquisition of DirectTV, one of the most important media companies in the region.
