Sarah Aguilera is a Fall 2021 intern in the Migration, Remittances, and Development program. She was born in Venezuela and is a University of South Florida Senior studying International Studies and doing a Certificate in Latin America and Caribbean Studies through the College of Arts and Science. She has focused her independent research on studying the contribution of Venezuelan skilled migrants to local economies and the potential of remittances to improve economic crises in sending countries, like Venezuela.
