Rodrigo Hinzpeter has served as general counsel at Grupo Quiñenco S.A. since 2014. He leads the company’s legal strategy and oversees corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management across one of Chile’s largest and most diversified business conglomerates.

Hinzpeter served as Chile’s Minister of Interior and Public Security from 2010 to 2012 and as Minister of Defense from 2012 to 2014 during President Sebastián Piñera’s first administration. While in office, he played a key role in public security reform and coordinated national response efforts following the 2010 earthquake

He holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is a frequent speaker at academic and policy forums across Latin America.
