Robert Muggah co-founded the Igarapé Institute in Brazil. He also cofounded the SecDev Group—focused on cybersecurity and digital risk in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He also serves as a Senior Adviser to the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, and a number of companies. From 2000 to 2011, he was the Research Director of the Small Arms Survey. He is the author of eight books, most recently co-authoring Earthtime—100 Maps to Navigate Our World with Ian Goldin (Random House, 2019 forthcoming). Muggah received his DPhil from the University of Oxford.
