Ricardo Zúñiga

Ricardo Zúñiga is a founding partner at Dinámica Americas and a senior advisor with the US Institute of Peace. He is a retired US Foreign Service Officer who served in Mexico, Portugal, Cuba, Spain, and Brazil and as President Obama’s NSC senior director for the Western Hemisphere and special envoy for the Northern Triangle in the Biden administration. 

Domestically, Zúñiga served in the State Department’s Office of Cuban Affairs, the US Mission to the Organization of American States, the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, and as the Desk Officer for Uganda and Tanzania. He was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and has a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs and Latin American studies from the University of Virginia. 

Zúñiga was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
