Ricardo Antonio Bucio Mújica currently serves as the executive secretary of the National System for the Integrated Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (SIPINNA) in Mexico.

With decades of experience in advocating for human rights both in Mexico and internationally, Bucio has made his impact primarily through public policy. Recently he has designed and implemented various policies including the National Strategy for Inclusive Education in 2019 and the National Program for the Integrated Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents also in 2019.

Before becoming the executive secretary of SIPINNA in 2015, Bucio was president of the National Council to Prevent Discrimination and was deputy director-general of the National Institute of Social Development.

Throughout his career, Bucio has done a significant amount of international work, representing Mexico on multiple international councils including the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance within the Council of Europe. Additionally, Bucio has served as an advisor for organizations such as UN Women, UNICEF, UNESCO and more.

He holds degrees in political science and public administration from Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) as well as a diploma in New Public Management, Public Administration, and Social Development from the University of Chicago and UIA.
