Rémy Rioux is the chief executive officer of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). As an expert in economics and international financial institutions, he has held high-level positions in a career devoted to development and Africa. After serving as chief of staff for the French minister of Economy and Finance, he was appointed as deputy general secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Development. In 2017, he also became chairman of the International Development Finance Club (IDFC) and organized the 2020 Finance in Common Summit (FICS).
