Rachael Kay is the Deputy Executive Director of IFEX. She has held a myriad of roles with IFEX, building up their global network and bringing in member-organizations promoting and defending freedom of expression and information. While at IFEX, she has helped develop a regional alliance of members in Latin America and the Caribbean (IFEX-ALC) and has served as a member of IFEX-ALC’s Coordinating Committee and a facilitator for members, donors and allies across the region. Kay is also responsible for programmatic and operational leadership of the IFEX Secretariat, where she brings over 15 years of experience in management and financial operations. Kay is fueled by her commitment to human rights and her background in international relations, languages, project development and financial management.
