Pilar Butrón is the coordinator for the curriculum team of the General Directorate of Regular Basic Education. Butrón is a teacher with more than 20 years of experience in the sector. She was the coordinator for the team which produced learning process maps for children under six years old in the National Evaluation, Accreditation, and Certification of Quality Education System (SINEACE in Spanish). She was also part of the team which worked on the National Basic Education Curriculum (CNEB in Spanish).

Butrón received her initial degree from the Instituto Pedagógico Nacional de Monterrico (IPN-M in Spanish) where she studied mathematics education and cognitive pedagogy. She earned a master’s in educational psychology with a concentration in cognitive psychology and developmental psychology from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH in Spanish).

Butrón was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
