Peter Natiello serves as acting assistant administrator in the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Latin America and Caribbean Bureau. Before that, he served as USAID’s Mission Director in Kabul, Afghanistan, from January 2019 to August 2020. Natiello was also mission director in El Salvador (2017-2019) and Colombia (2012-2017). And from July 2011 to July 2012, he served as USAID’s deputy mission director in South Sudan, during the country’s first year of independence. From August 2009 through July 2011, Natiello served as USAID’s Senior Development Advisor to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), in Tampa, Florida. He has additionally represented USAID in Bolivia, Ecuador, and South Africa.
