Pedro Isern serves as the executive director of the Center for the Study of Open Societies (CESCOS-Uruguay) and as a full-time professor of Contemporary History of the West (Universidad ORT Uruguay). Isern is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science (UCA-Argentina). He holds a master’s degree in Economics and Political Science (ESEADE-Argentina) and a BA in Political Science (UDESA-Argentina).

Isern was an event speaker at the Inter-American Dialogue.
