Pamela Smith is executive director of the NGO Society and Disability (SODIS) in Peru. Smith coordinates advocacy actions and leads research initiatives and project implementation. Previously, she was part of the human rights team of the Civil Association for Equality and Justice (ACIJ) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Smith’s experience also includes internships at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Ombudsman’s Office of Peru. Smith is a professor in the Academic Department of Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru, where she teaches courses in critical constitutionalism and fundamental rights.

Smith is a lawyer from the Catholic University of Santa Maria in Arequipa, Peru, and obtained a Master of Law (LLM) degree from Syracuse University, NY. In addition, Smith participates in the Center for Studies in Philosophy of Law and Constitutional Theory of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

Smith was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
