Nobu Yamazaki is chef-owner of Sushi Taro. Sushi Taro is the oldest authentic Japanese restaurant in Washington, DC, with one Michelin star four years in a row, and a spot on the Opinionated About Dining (OAD) Top 100.
Yamazaki originally trained for three years in Japan as a sushi chef, and inherited the family business from his parents. He transformed the restaurant into a high-end authentic Japanese restaurant with an omakase counter. Nobu was a semifinalist for the James Beard Mid-Atlantic Region Chef, and is president of the Washington, DC Sushi Society.
Yamazaki was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
