Milagros Nores is co-director of research at the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on early childhood evaluation, data-driven policies and programs, costs and benefits of early interventions, evaluation design, equity, and culturally responsive policies and programs. Her background is in program evaluation, economics of education, and international and comparative education. Dr. Nores also consults for several organizations on educational projects in Latin America and Asia and recently served on a special commission of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicines, studying the early childhood opportunity gap. Dr. Nores received her degree in economics from the University of Di Tella, a master´s in education policy from Harvard University, and a PhD in education and economics from Columbia University, followed by a postdoc at the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University.
