Mauro Castillo is an acclaimed actor, singer, composer, music producer, and trombone player from Cali, Colombia. He is best known as the voice of “Felix” in Disney’s Oscar, BAFTA, and Grammy-winning film “Encanto.” With over three thousand performances, including at the White House, the Oscars, and the Kennedy Center, Mauro is a leading figure in salsa music.
A graduate of Valle del Cauca University in Classical Music, Mauro has been a member of the Grammy-winning “Grupo Niche” and has worked with artists including Oscar de León and Joe Arroyo. His accolades include an Oscar, Grammy, and BAFTA for “Encanto” (2022), the “Order of Knight” from the Congress of Colombia (2024), three “Petronio Alvarez” awards, and the “Premios Nuestra Tierra” for Best Salsa and Cumbia Artist (2024).
