Former Program Associate, Migration, Remittances, and Development Program, Inter-American Dialogue
Matthew Martin was a Program Associate for the Migration, Remittances, and Development program. Martin is interested in all types of migration and how to ensure that new economic opportunities are safe, successful, and can lead to improvements in development outcomes. Alongside his studies at Georgetown, Martin has worked for Precision Development (PxD) on using evaluation to expand and improve agricultural extension programs and has supported the World Bank on monitoring and evaluation efforts for a migrant reintegration program. 
 
Martin’s interests also stem from prior work experiences with International Rescue Committee on economic empowerment programs for refugees and migrants in the United States and from five years he spent as both a volunteer and a programming and training specialist with Peace Corps in Nicaragua, working on an entrepreneurship education project. Martin graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in International Studies and originally comes from Seattle in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
