Martin Menski is a partner in the Project Development and Finance Group based in Washington, DC. Menski leads the White & Case’s market-leading Americas Agency Practice. He is ranked Band 1: Projects: Agency Finance USA by Chambers Global 2025.
Menski has advised on the development and financing of several market-leading, award-winning projects in the Latin American energy sector, providing him with a detailed understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in the region.
Menski has extensive experience on behalf of sponsors and financial institutions in Latin America. His experience includes work with IDB Invest in the financing of the 531 MWp Mendubim solar project in Brazil; the lenders on the financing of Feijão, a 586 MW combined wind and solar power project in the northeast of Brazil being developed by a joint venture between Macquarie Asset Management and Hydro Rein; Toesca Renovables on a non-recourse project financing for a portfolio of greenfield solar photovoltaic projects in Chile; and Sonnedix on a non-recourse mini-perm project financing for a portfolio of greenfield and operating solar photovoltaic projects in Chile.
Martin has extensive experience in advising multilateral organizations, development banks, export credit agencies, and international commercial banks, as well as sponsors, developers, funds, and governments, on both project and financing documents. He has developed financing solutions for multilateral institutional clients such as the “B-Bond” of IDB Invest (formerly the Inter-American Development Bank), a product that enables the mobilization of funding from bond investors under IDB’s protective umbrella for projects in the Latin American and Caribbean markets, local currency financing solutions involving agency cover, and innovative offtake structures for commodity-based industries looking to raise project finance debt.
