Marina Olman-Pal is co-chair of the firm’s Financial Regulatory and Compliance Practice. She advises U.S. and foreign financial institutions on a broad range of federal and state regulatory matters, including licensing and chartering; acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures; third-party risk management and oversight; banking-as-a-service (BaaS) and other bank–fintech-related issues; compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/anti–money laundering (AML) laws and regulations; and fair access compliance.
She counsels a wide range of companies in the financial services sector, including domestic and foreign banks; money services businesses, such as money transmitters; cryptocurrency firms; fintech and digital payment companies; and gaming enterprises. Throughout her career, Olman-Pal has represented clients before U.S. regulators such as the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and other state supervisory authorities.
She also regularly develops AML programs for a broad range of financial and nonfinancial businesses, including U.S. and foreign companies active in industries such as real estate, hospitality, automotive, and artificial intelligence, among others.
