Dr. Mariana Rico is the medical director for Americas Health Foundation (AHF). She is a physician based in Bogota, Colombia with a public health background dedicated to promoting equitable access to healthcare in Latin America. She has broad experience in public health policy, focusing on healthcare access barriers and inequities, and advocacy solutions in many different fields including rare diseases, oncology, autoimmune and infectious diseases, and women’s health. She has led over 20 consensus conferences, task forces, and reports on these topics during her time at AHF.
