María Elena Valdez is a child development assessment technician at the National Institute for Comprehensive Early Childhood Care (INAIPI) in the Dominican Republic. Valdez has experience in early childhood, child development research, and the application of psychometric tests for the detection of developmental disorders and educational needs. 

Valdez has participated in the methodological and logistical design of research, as well as in data collection and staff training. Valdez has co-authored scientific publications through which she shares her experiences and findings from her work in early childhood. 

Valdez has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a clinical mention from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and a master’s degree in special educational needs and university attention from the University of Seville in Spain.

Valdez was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
