María del Mar Jaramillo Salcedo is a Colombian social entrepreneur, lawyer, and advocate for democracy and human rights. She is CEO of Fundación Soy Oportunidad, an organization that empowers young mothers who live in vulnerability and poverty, through entrepreneurship and life projection programs that allow them to generate new economic and social opportunities for themselves and their families. Jaramillo Salcedo boasts professional experiences at both the Instituto Colombiano de Crédito Educativo y Estudios Técnicos en el Exterior (Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad – ICETEX) and Pfizer. She has received numerous awards including the Gender Equity Award from Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Young Innovators Creating a Better World for Everyone award from Women Economic Forum (WEF) Latin America.
Jaramillo Salcedo holds a law degree from Universidad de La Sabana and is a specialist in organizations, social responsibility, and development from the Universidad de Los Andes.
