Laura Feliza Vélez Medina has more than a decade of professional experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of public policies aimed at development, poverty reduction, mental health, and psychological care in early childhood. Currently, Medina works as a technical advisor to the director of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare. Past experiences include her work as a coordinator of public policy projects at the McSilver Institute for Poverty, Policy, and Research at New York University. 

Medina holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a specialization in education from the University of Los Andes and a master’s degree in social intervention from New York University.
