Laura Cristina Dib Ayesta is the Venezuela program director at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA). Prior to joining WOLA, Dib Ayesta was the director of the Legal Clinic for Migrants and a member of the Migration Studies Center at University of the Andes in Bogota, Colombia. There she worked on the defense of migrants and refugees’ rights through the design of litigation strategies and advocacy efforts. 

She is a lawyer and holds a bachelor degree in liberal studies from the Metropolitan University in Caracas, Venezuela. She obtained her LLM in international human rights at University of Notre Dame. Dib Ayesta’s areas of expertise are migration, human rights and transitional justice.

Dib Ayesta was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
