Keisuke Ito is director general of the Latin America and the Caribbean Department at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He previously served as chief representative of JICA’s Bolivia office, where he managed the organization’s global agenda for agricultural and rural development in Latin America.
Ito is also an associate professor at Nagoya University and as assistant secretary general of the Japan Intellectual Support Network in Agricultural Sciences (JISNAS). He holds a degree in agricultural economics from Hokkaido University and a master’s degree in sustainable development from NUR University in Bolivia.
