Kamila Gomez

Gender and Human Rights Specialist, Association for Responsible Mining

Kamila Gomez is a sociologist and specialist in studies on intersectional gender violence. She has more than four years of experience in implementation of socio-community projects with women of different marginalized groups (girls, adolescents, adult women, adult women elders, Afro-descendant women) in Colombia, Honduras, and Bolivia, as well as with other interest groups at a national and international level.

In 2021, Gomez became a gender and human rights specialist in the Alliance for Responsible Mining, leading the implementation of strategies with a gender focus in the artisanal and small-scale mining sector. In this role, she promotes sustainable and participatory actions for mining communities, other civil society organizations, government institutions, and other key actors.

Gomez was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
