Justin Wein is director of government affairs at Altana Technologies, where he leads engagement with policymakers and public-sector stakeholders on issues related to trade, economic security, supply chain resilience, and emerging technologies. His work focuses on strengthening collaboration between government and industry to improve transparency and trust across global supply chains through the use of AI and data-driven tools.
Before joining Altana, Wein spent more than two decades in public service across both the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government. Most recently, he served as senior advisor for legislative affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). He also held senior roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, including chief of staff to Congressman David E. Price and senior advisor to Congresswoman Dina Titus, working extensively on appropriations, homeland security, trade, defense, and foreign affairs policy.
In addition to his government experience, Wein has worked on international democracy and governance initiatives in more than two dozen countries and has participated in election observation missions in Tunisia and Georgia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in political management from The George Washington University.
